COMPLIANCE
Compliance is the foundation of all the RS Recycling services. If managed services is the banner that helps differentiate secure destruction from waste management, then compliance the glue that holds all the services together.
Compliance services span every aspect of the workflow and allow all activities to be confidently delivered by staff.
At the heart of compliance is quality management. Good quality management ensures that RS Recycling delivers high quality services by eliminating defects and incorporating continuous changes and improvements into the system.

Quality Checks
Every project will have pass through various system gateways on its journey through the ORCA system. All the documentation is derived from the quotation.
ORCA mandates compliance through process control and systemised activity – reducing the risks from human error and allowing full auditability of all RS Recycling activity.
Reporting Throughout the Job
The client will typically receive progress updates as the project progresses.
The final reporting pack contains pdf documentation plus any other supporting documentation or photographs requested at the quotation stage. The level of detail normally increases as the risk or classification level is raised.
Balance is Everything.
Understanding the client’s exact requirement and then balancing that against the restrictions imposed by environmental, safety, health and security aspects can be a complicated business.
The services specified by RS Recycling are balanced and remain so during delivery and completion because of strong systems and the professionalism of its employees and vendor network.
Quotation Compliance
When a project is quoted, the entire project is specified in advance to allow for all details to be correctly priced and agreed between both parties. Once a quotation is accepted; no part of the specification can be changed unless agreed by both parties. This is incredibly important as it sets KPIs13 for the project that are measured at key points to ensure that the project is being delivered exactly as quoted.
A rigorous escalation system is embedded in ORCA which enables issues to be managed openly as they arise and to be recorded and reported at project completion
Compliance with Legislation
The mistake that is often made, especially when considering secure destruction, is NOT properly considering the rest of the legislative framework when planning the project. It’s an easy mistake. Destruction, in this example, is the focus after all.
It is simply not possible to manage the security risk in isolation or without due consideration of the impacts of the destruction activity on people and the planet...
...Nor is it appropriate to assume that sending something for recycling will ensure its destruction..
